SDK Message Processing Steps need to be added to Unamanaged and Managed Solutions


On import of either Managed or Unmanaged Solutions, the User will see a generic Error ("An error has occurred. Try again, if the issue persists..." etc.). Digging into the Import Log XML, you'll find:

<Data ss:Type="String">Action failed for assembly 'Crm2011DistributeWF, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4a902766b5361155': Assembly must be registered in isolation.</Data>

This appears to be a result of the SDK Message Processing Steps associated with the Plugin being absent from the Solution ZIP (http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/da-DK/f0449b49-e931-47de-b9b0-efdf78014e2a/crm-2011-plugins-not-working-in-managed-solution).

Note that there are no SDK Message Processing Steps included in either Solution and the Import dialog does not prompt you to activate them as a result.

You need to compile the software in an on-premise environment and then export the entire solution including the SDK messaging steps, I think. However, you also can find it at http://practical-crm.blogspot.com/2013/03/distribute-workflow-for-crm-2011-online.html?m=1 which I prefer.
